I never knew anything about filter bubbles till I saw the
video that explained about it. It is an interesting function that people do not
know about. It gives you the answers that people with power over the search
engines want you to see. It lets you see only the information that is important
to your region and your previous searches. It could apply to the different
databases since each on is different.
You will see something different in each database since each has its own
search engines. In the databases I searched I noticed they both had papers on
sexually motivated serial killers. Thought it was strange that a serial killer
in most of the articles in my opinion was sexually motivated if you look of
psychology of serial killers. The difference was that in the second database
today we looked in, it was mainly about forensic investigation of serial
killers and the mind concept of them. It was interesting to see how your
results change depending on where you look for them. One is mainly about
sexually orientated side of them, while the other focused on their mindset and
how their minds work. It shows that each search engines has different filter
bubbles that are used to see what information you want to see.
