In my group we choose to research about Edward Gein. He is a psychopath that butchered people and had mental issues. The human mind behind his actions is what interests me about it. I care for the topic because it sounds interesting and seeing everyones different intake off of it. I will approach from my accounting point of view that if he had invested and became a millionaire and wouldn't have killed all those people.
How do you intend to approach your suggested topic with actual research to back up your claims? It's hard to say how one person would have turned out if this or that had been different. Is there any research showing a connection between investment and psychosis?
ReplyDeleteTo bring accounting in to this, what about examining the cost of serial killers on society? Or comparing the costs of running early detection programs to catch mental instability before someone does something violent versus the cost of cleaning up the mess afterward?
Or do major news stories like this affect investments -- when the news breaks about some major serial killer like that, do you see anything happening in the stock market that day?
Or... what else?
Wow ! I feel that this is a very interesting topic. Ive never heard of Edward Gein before, so im interested in learning more about him and the case. I just feel that you might not find alot of information for your research, but i hope that you do and your project turns out to be a success.
ReplyDeleteGood luck !
